Medical Certificate Classes

Class I Medical Certificate

Required for Commercial Pilot License (CPL), Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL), and other professional pilot licenses.

  • Valid for 12 months (under 40 years) or 6 months (40+ years)
  • Most comprehensive examination
  • Includes cardiovascular, neurological, and psychological assessments

Class II Medical Certificate

Required for Private Pilot License (PPL) and other non-commercial licenses.

  • Valid for 60 months (under 40 years) or 24 months (40+ years)
  • Less stringent than Class I
  • Covers essential health parameters

Class III Medical Certificate

Required for Air Traffic Controllers and certain cabin crew members.

  • Valid for 24 months (under 40 years) or 12 months (40+ years)
  • Focuses on communication and perception abilities

Examination Requirements for Pilots in Pune
